Speedy Assay Ecuador Distributor Participated in Aqua Expo 2019 in Guayaquil, Ecuador
During 21st October – 24th October 2019, Speedy Assay’s Ecuador distributor partook in the Aqua Expo 2019, which was held in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The shrimp industry in Ecuador is the first non-oil export item with a 19% growth in 2019 and it has a huge impact on the country’s economy.
The aim of this expo was to allow companies to present their latest technological products and services in the field of aquaculture. It was also to address on different shrimp-related topics such as shrimp sustainability and shrimp health management in the farms.
The Aqua Expo also acted as a platform for our Ecuador distributor to meet other companies involved in aquaculture, especially in detection of shrimp diseases. This allowed us to gain some insight into other companies’ products and receive feedback about our own products. We are able to use this information to improve our products to better serve our customers’ needs.
During the expo, our Ecuador distributor was able to showcase the ShrimpCheck Shrimp Disease Detection kits. This attracted a number of potential clients. They were mostly impressed with our ShrimpCheck PCR kit and Real-time PCR kit. This is because of the different shrimp diseases it can detect as well as the 100% specificity and sensitivity of the kits and the presence of internal and external controls, which helps to minimize the possibility of false results.
This expo helped us raise awareness about our shrimp disease detection kits and meet potential clients, thus strengthening our marketplace in Ecuador’s shrimp industry and help in preventing the spread of these infectious diseases.
